Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Controller serves as a senior financial leader for REV, responsible for directing all accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and establishing sound accounting principles, practices, procedures, and internal controls. The Controller partners closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting activities, strengthen financial governance, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include but are not limited to):
  • Lead REV's finance strategy, aligning financial planning and decision-making with business objectives and long-range growth plans.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and executive leadership.
  • Provide financial leadership and analytical insight to support enterprise initiatives and senior management decisions.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, operating taxes, regulatory compliance and filings, and financial close processes.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Analyze financial results, trends, forecasts, and variances; present findings, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to the CFO and senior management.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts, monitoring performance against plans and partnering with department leaders on corrective actions and financial priorities.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful financial performance indicators, management reports, and dashboards.
  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting integrity.
  • Oversee external audits, regulatory filings, and financial compliance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including grant-related and government funding requirements when applicable.
  • Serve as a primary accounting contact for auditors, regulators, and external financial partners.
  • Serve as the primary accounting liaison for financial system implementations, conversions, reporting enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
  • Provide direct supervision and performance leadership to the Procurement/Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure procurement and supply chain activities align with financial controls, budgets, and company-wide financial objectives.
  • Establish purchasing and vendor spend governance to support fiscal discipline, transparency, and efficiency
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Finance and Accounting organization, fostering accountability, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate leaders and staff within the accounting function.
  • Build organizational capability by aligning talent, structure, and processes with future business needs
  • Direct the Accounting department and establish clear accountability, service standards, and performance expectations across the function.

  • Experienced and credible accounting leader with strong operational expertise and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Deep technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and current accounting practices.
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise financial systems, reporting tools, and data governance sufficient to guide strategy, controls, and automation.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term objectives with day-to-day operational demands.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to build alignment, negotiate effectively, and foster productive working relationships across all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including experience leading teams, projects, or key business initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, audits, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Preferred:
  • CPA desirable
  • M.B.A.
