About the Position

The Accessory Technician / Rhino Applicator is responsible for the preparation and application of spray-on bed liners and assisting with accessory installations and light mechanical support. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality results through precision application and attention to detail while supporting overall shop operations.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Reports To: Accessories Manager Compensation/Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience; 401(k) with company match; medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off (PTO); paid holidays; continuing education opportunities

Essential Job Functions

  • Surface Preparation: DA/sand vehicles or products to properly prepare surfaces for application
  • Masking & Protection: Mask and tape vehicles or products prior to application
  • Rhino Lining Application: Apply Rhino Linings with precision to ensure high-quality, durable results
  • Post-Application Finishing: Unmask and clean vehicles/products to prepare for customer delivery
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain machines and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety
  • Accessory Installation Support: Assist with installation of accessories such as tonneau covers, nerf bars, and brush guards
  • Mechanical Assistance: Support mechanic department with alignments, tire work, and positioning vehicles on lifts
  • General Maintenance: Perform general shop maintenance duties as needed
  • Vehicle Transport: Assist with transporting vehicles to and from clients as required
  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive work
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a physically active, hands-on shop environment
  • Automotive experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in sanding, painting, or body work is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 75 pounds or more
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
