Tomorrow's most advanced automotive technology is being envisioned today at MOBIS Parts America (MPA). A subsidiary of Hyundai MOBIS, we are a top leading automotive parts supplier. MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.
Description
The Parts Business Development Manager is responsible forthe development and expansion of part business in an assigned territory. Theymanage a set area to ensure Hyundai / Genesis dealers adhere to current partspolicies related to ordering, claims and returns. Consulting on FixedOperations - inventory management, wholesale and general sales growth and providinggeneral support for the parts business. The PBDM will ensure dealers are awareof and participate in parts programs, tools, and training as determined byHyundai, Genesis and or Mobis direction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist dealerships with improving business Inventory health utilizing RIM tools, Sales and Return programs, addressing areas that are impacting sales and customer satisfaction
Support dealers parts training compliance and support regions to ensure certification of Part Managers and Counterpersons to achieve HMA program criteria.
Monitor Mobis, Hyundai and Genesis and dealers' performance related to ordering, backorders, on time delivery, claims, and returns to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and sales performance
Acclimate new Part Managers / Counterpersons on Hyundai / Genesis / Mobis systems and (buy/sell, new dealer) on systems and best practices.
Lead communication contact for MPA / HMA / GMA parts teams in the brands' region
Complete ad hoc requests as needed from MPA management.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
RIM System Net Utilization, % of Inventory for Stock, RO Fill, Aging Inventory reduction improvements
Dealer Satisfaction and Parts Manager Surveys improvement
Wholesale operations and growth
Claims and returns reduction related to best practices
Parts Manager and Parts Counter Training Program compliance
Conduct regularly scheduled consultative dealership contacts
Support new dealership launch and buy sell activities as requested by facing Regional Management
Support local facing PDC to resolve dealer issues and concerns
All other duties as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE/Travel Work schedule/hours Travel
8:00 am - 5:00 pm Extensive overnight travel (over 60%) by land / air
Up to 8 hours / 500 miles a day, driving
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years of retail Parts and Service / distributorprofessional experience including direct experience in the field calling ondealer parts and service departments
• A strong knowledge of dealer FixOps, retail / OEMmanagement, and the automotive wholesale sales / part processes preferred
• Extensive understanding in major Dealer ManagementSystems, (DMS), ERP systems and Inventory Management (RIM)
• Previous experience in an automotive retail is a plus
