AUKUS Engineer 6
Position Overview:
Responsible for working in selected aspects of an engineering or scientific discipline related to the overall objectives of a project, assignment or area of expertise. Functions as an expert for assignments involving new technology that may feature nonstandard materials and processes. Assignments are given in terms of broad, general objective and limits. Supervision is essentially administrative.

On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.
Your Day to Day as an AUKUS Engineer 6:
1. Provides expert guidance and direction to engineering and scientific personnel in developing and researching new products, processes, materials, and analyses.
2. Develops solutions to problems requiring knowledge of engineering and/or other scientific/technical disciplines. Develops an understanding of such problems, which can be communicated to other technical persons less familiar with specific field of specialization.
3. Continuously evaluates the impact of new scientific, engineering, and technological knowledge on the division's project and future opportunities.
4. May function as a technical consultant to other sections involved in the development or manufacture of very complex components.
5. Reviews technical proposals generated by the section for technical accuracy, conceptual appropriateness and manufacturing capability.
6. Maintains Liaison with individuals and units within and outside the organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to areas of expertise and responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
B. S. -- Engineering
Sixteen years' engineering experience since B. S. degree (fifteen years with M.S. degree)
Other Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
  • Write and execute test plans for process development and improvement projects to be performed at bench scale and in production equipment.
  • Write technical reports for projects and investigations.
  • Write proposals that contain a technical justification and business case for future process development projects.
  • Communicate with customers on project schedule and technical issues.
  • Plan and lead engineering effort for projects of major significance.

Salary Grade Level11.1
Pay: $$131,480 - $$207,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$131,480 and $$207,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
