Job description

Position Overview:

ANSER is seeking an AUKUS Operations Analyst to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD(P)) within Indo-Pacific Security Affairs. In this role you will provide direct operational, administrative, and analytical support to senior leadership and stakeholders across the AUKUS (Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) partnership. You will enable effective governance, decision-making, and coordination across high-level trilateral engagements and strategic initiatives.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Prepare read-aheads, one-pagers, and briefing materials for senior leadership engagements and AUKUS forums
  • Develop after-action reports and strategic way-ahead documentation to capture decisions and align mission objectives
  • Provide administrative and operational support for AUKUS governance processes and meetings
  • Track, coordinate, and report on governance fora including ministerials, steering groups, and working groups
  • Manage knowledge management tools, including SharePoint, to track actions and support decision-making processes
  • Coordinate meeting logistics including scheduling, agenda development, conference room management, and RSVP tracking for senior executives
  • Record and produce meeting minutes and ensure timely dissemination of key outcomes and action items
  • Engage with AUKUS stakeholders to collect updates on strategic initiatives and compile relevant data
  • Analyze information and support the development of briefings and tasking materials for leadership
  • Distribute and manage incoming and outgoing classified and unclassified documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting DoD governance forums, meeting execution, and senior leader engagement
  • 4+ years of experience working within the Pentagon, Joint Staff, or Service-level organizations (Office of the Secretary of Defense experience preferred)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience managing calendars, coordinating large meetings, and supporting senior executive-level engagements
  • Experience using knowledge management or collaboration tools such as SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and support development of strategic documentation
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense writing style and formats

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with project management, metrics development, and performance tracking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
