Relevant du Responsable Qualite, le ou l'associe(e) sera charge(e) de la mise en uvre et du suivi continu des systemes d'assurance qualite pour le cannabis medical et recreatif, en stricte conformite avec la reglementation de Sante Canada sur le cannabis ainsi qu'avec les Bonnes Pratiques Agricoles et de Recolte (GACP). Le ou la Specialiste en assurance qualite soutient les activites du departement Qualite et collabore etroitement avec les equipes de culture, de transformation, de salubrite, d'entretien, d'entrepot et des installations.

Taches et responsabilites

Effectuer la surveillance AQ dans toutes les etapes des processus de production et communiquer les resultats aux parties prenantes concernees.

Participer aux activites d'assurance qualite et assurer la conformite aux lignes directrices de Sante Canada et aux directives GACP relatives a la production, la culture, la transformation, l'emballage en vrac et l'expedition.

Assurer la conformite reglementaire par le biais d'audits internes et de systemes qualite, notamment en realisant des audits en production, installations et maintenance pour l'inventaire, les BPP, les GACP et la conformite des processus.

Communiquer ou escalader toute non-conformite aux parties prenantes des departements concernes ou au responsable/gestionnaire du departement Qualite.

Participer aux enquetes liees aux problemes ou defaillances des systemes d'assurance qualite, analyser les causes profondes, proposer des actions correctives appropriees et documenter les evenements.

Collaborer etroitement avec les collegues et offrir la formation QC/AQ requise dans toutes les zones de l'installation afin d'assurer une resolution efficace des enjeux qualite.

Suivre les procedures de maniere efficace et constante en laboratoire et en environnement de production.

Offrir un soutien pour l'echantillonnage et l'analyse des produits, ainsi que pour l'inspection et les tests des matieres premieres conformement aux reglements de Sante Canada et aux GACP.

Contribuer au suivi de l'environnement selon les exigences des GACP et de Sante Canada.

Soutenir la conformite des systemes de gestion des changements, du controle documentaire, de la validation des procedes, du systeme de gestion des plaintes, des rapports d'enquete sur les deviations (DIR), incluant l'analyse des causes profondes (RCA), l'evaluation des risques (RA) et les actions correctives et preventives (CAPA) dans l'EQMS.

Competences et qualifications

Diplome ou certificat d'etudes postsecondaires dans une discipline technique requis.

Baccalaureat dans une discipline technique (sciences alimentaires, physiques ou biologiques de preference) constitue un atout.

Experience en salubrite alimentaire : atout important.

Experience prealable en assurance qualite ou en laboratoire : atout.

Job Summary

Reporting to the QualitySupervisor, the Associate will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the quality assurance systems for medical and adult use cannabis in strict compliance with Health Canada's Cannabis regulations and Good Agricultural and Collection Practice (GACP). The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting the company's Quality Assurance and working in collaboration with cultivation, processing, sanitation, maintenance warehouse and facilities departments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs QA monitoring in all areas of production processes and communicates results to respective area stakeholders.
  • Assists in quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with Health Canada's guidelines and GACP guidelines pertaining to production, cultivation, processing, bulk packaging, shipping.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations through internal auditing and quality systems by performing audits in production, facilities and maintenance for inventory, GPP, GACP and process quality compliance.
  • Communicates or escalates any non-compliances to respective department stakeholders or lead or manager of the Quality Department.
  • Participates in investigation activities associated with problems or failures within the overall quality assurance systems, to analyze root cause, to propose appropriate corrective action, and to document the event accordingly.
  • Liaises closely with colleagues and provides required QC/QA training for all areas of the facility to ensure efficient resolution of quality related issues.
  • Follows procedures efficiently and consistently in laboratory and production environment.
  • Provides support for product sampling and analysis in addition to raw material inspection and testing in accordance with Health Canada Regulations and GACP.
  • Provides support for environmental monitoring in accordance with GACP and Health Canada Regulations.
  • Provides support to ensure compliance of Change Control System, Document Change Control, Process Validation, Complaints System, Deviation Investigation Reports (DIR), including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Risk Assessment (RA), Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) in EQMS.
  • Supports creation and maintenance of Preventive Control Plan (PCP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).

Competencies and Skills

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a technical discipline required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Food, Physical, or Biological Sciences preferred) is an asset.
  • Food safety background a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or laboratory testing role would be an asset.
  • Detail oriented and self-directed in execution of tasks required.
