Role: AV (Audio Visual) Technician

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001

Duration: One year + contract (Possible Extension)



Job Description    

Experienced and capable audio visual contract support technician for the Research and Development (R&D) scientific areas. 

Provide application support for both Audio Visual and teleconference systems utilized by Zoetis Research and Development staff. 

This requires in-depth experience in Enterprise Audio/Video systems and the ability to provide support and resolution for these systems quickly. 

Also, provide support to all levels of customers including senior executives. 

Build strong relationships with users to track, understand and resolve their technical issues. 

Be willing to take ownership of user issues, monitor progress and keep users informed until resolution occurs. 

Understand Service Support activities (Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management). 


Objectives: 

Provide Audio/Visual Support for Zoetis enterprise systems 

Liaison between multiple Business Technology organizations to provide comprehensive support


Qualifications


Skills: 


The ideal candidate should possess a working knowledge of AV systems, current AV technology, a solid understanding of teleconference systems and the aptitude to learn new and possibly complex systems as required. 


The candidate should have good problem diagnosis and repair skills coupled with solid exposure to database concepts, and knowledge of both client/server and web-based application architectures. 


Strong customer / communication skills along with three to five years industry working experience in application/technical support is essential. 


Candidate should demonstrate the ability to work closely with other global divisions to accomplish stated objectives. 


Also, the candidate should be able to work on their own, with minimal direct supervision, or as part of a team. 


They will need to be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and use available resources to solve issues quickly. 


AV Experience: CTS or CTS-D certification DMC-E certification Experience with digital video switching and routing Experience with audio DSPs Ability to lift equipment up to 50lbs
