Job description

The Audio-Visual Technician

The Audio-Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, disassembling, and troubleshooting AV equipment for live events and meetings, including microphones, audio mixers, speakers, video monitors, projectors, screens, lighting, and staging. The technician will respond to and resolve technical issues, perform routine maintenance, track inventory, and conduct quality control checks during events, making real-time adjustments as needed.

The Audio-Visual Technician will coordinate with clients and event partners to ensure proper placement and integration of AV specifications while maintaining equipment functionality. Additionally, collaboration with the team is essential to meet the unique needs of each event. The position also requires the ability to operate, load, and unload company-owned vehicles for equipment transport.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Audio-Visual Technician

  • 2+ years of experience working in live events required
  • Proficiency with audio equipment and related technology required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live event settings
  • Knowledge of cabling techniques and AV setup
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required
