What types of projects and equipment will I typically work with during an Audio Visual Internship?

As an Audio Visual Intern, you can expect to be involved in a variety of projects such as setting up and operating sound systems, assisting with live event production, and supporting video recording and editing tasks. You'll likely gain hands-on experience with equipment like microphones, mixers, projectors, cameras, and editing software. The internship often provides opportunities to collaborate closely with technical staff, event coordinators, and sometimes clients, which helps build both technical and communication skills. This exposure prepares you for future roles in AV production, event management, or technical support.

What is an Audio Visual Internship?

An Audio Visual Internship is a temporary training position where students or recent graduates gain hands-on experience working with audio and visual equipment. Interns typically assist with setting up, operating, and maintaining AV systems for events, meetings, or productions. They may also learn about troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with event or production teams, and supporting the technical aspects of presentations. This internship provides valuable practical skills and industry exposure for those interested in careers in audio visual technology or production.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Audio Visual Intern, and why are they important?

To excel as an Audio Visual Intern, you should have a basic understanding of audio and video equipment, troubleshooting skills, and often be pursuing or holding a degree in media, communications, or a related field.
