In this dynamic role, you will leverage your 3+ years of experience in low-voltage systems while also embracing the chance to develop your expertise across various technical disciplines and management. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong technology design background who are enthusiastic about contributing to innovative security solutions.

The Security/Technology Group is a specialized group of individuals responsible for security electronics, telecommunications infrastructure, and audio/visual designs for a variety of project types, including K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, Justice/Public Safety, and Commercial.
The individual will be responsible for performing and overseeing the work committed to in proposals, and performing and leading the appropriate resources to do the work for each discipline area. The individual will assist Project Managers by providing design resources - a design team - to help meet the client's desires and budget. Duties would also include some involvement in direct sales and assisting with sales efforts for multidisciplinary projects, and providing the design/engineering resources and guidance to accomplish our commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical design for discipline area.
  • Peer review project work for the discipline area.
  • Work with team members in establishing/improving standards for discipline area.
  • Adherence to project design schedules.
  • Adherence to discipline project budgets.
  • Pay attention to project scope during the design process to identify potential additional services.
  • Provide general updates of projects (status in the process, tasks to complete, percentage complete currently, etc.)
  • Identify milestone dates when each discipline should provide information, at each phase, to allow sufficient time for good design coordination.
  • Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions, technical and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • H.S. Diploma required.
  • Required certifications include: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Physical security Professional (PSP) certifications.
  • Accomplished (3+ years of experience) in low voltage systems including:
    • Structured cabling, both inside and outside plant
    • Electronic Physical Access Control
    • Video Surveillance
    • Intrusion Detection
    • Overhead Paging
    • Audio/Visual
    • Nurse Call
    • Real Time Locating Systems
    • Infant (and memory care) Protection
    • Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems
    • Experience in the following systems:
    • Experience in the following systems a plus:
    • Knowledge of the design and construction process
    • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in the design of low voltage systems, and an understanding of document preparation utilizing a BIM/Revit platform
    • Well organized with the ability to take detailed notes
    • Strong conceptual understanding of low voltage systems with general knowledge of system operation, space requirements, and cost
