Job description

Exhibit & Immersive AV Specialist

Help build the tech behind unforgettable experiences.

About Us

Culton Companies, Inc. transforms interpretive plans into immersive 3D environments—from museums and traveling exhibits to interactive displays. Under one roof, we plan, design, build, and install, ensuring high-quality outcomes and fewer surprises. Our multidisciplinary team blends architecture, AV, lighting, and interactive technology to bring stories to life.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Exhibit & Immersive AV Specialist to support the design, build, and execution of complex AV and control systems for exhibits, live environments, and experiential spaces. You’ll work directly with senior technical leadership, vendors, and fabricators—getting your hands dirty while helping deliver projects that will be seen around the world.

This role is perfect for someone with a few years of technical production or AV integration experience who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and grow into a more senior role.

What You’ll Do
  • Design & Documentation – Create system layouts, wiring diagrams, CAD drawings, and tech documentation.

  • On-Site Execution – Set up gear, run cable, test systems, and troubleshoot live in the field.

  • Coordination – Work with vendors, fabricators, and PMs to keep projects aligned and on time.

  • Logistics & Tracking – Manage inventory, equipment shipments, and change logs.

  • Collaboration – Bridge technical and project management teams to keep work moving forward.

What You Bring
  • 2–4 years of experience in AV integration, live events tech, or themed/experiential environments.

  • Working knowledge of projection, dvLED, lighting, audio, control, or automation systems.

  • Experience with CAD or Illustrator, plus comfort with on-site troubleshooting.

  • Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a bias for action.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with media servers, show control, or interactive tech (TouchDesigner, CueServer, ArtNet, DMX, Dante).

  • Experience working with automation, robotics, and other high-tech systems.

  • The ambition to grow into a Senior Technical Director role.

You Might Be a Fit If You…
  • Prefer solving problems hands-on rather than sitting in endless meetings.

  • Thrive under pressure and enjoy juggling multiple demands.

  • Are constantly looking for faster, better ways to do things.

  • Want variety, autonomy, and purpose in your work.

What We Offer
  • The chance to work on high-profile, innovative projects in museums, exhibits, and experiential spaces.

  • Mentorship from senior leaders in creative tech and live experience.

  • A collaborative, no-nonsense culture that values execution as much as creativity.

  • Competitive salary, benefits, and real growth opportunities.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a launchpad. If you’re ready to level up your technical career and help deliver world-class immersive experiences, we’d love to meet you.
