An audio technician works to set up and maintain audiovisual equipment for touring shows and broadcast or recording studios. They take direction from the front of house engineer and monitor engineer. Their responsibilities include unloading and setting up equipment, laying XLR cable, creating speaker arrays, running sound tests, and troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arise. An audio technician also responsible for the maintenance of sound production equipment and loading everything up at the end of the show.
