Responsibilities

  • Monitor requests for support (via Slack) and promptly response with acknowledgement and work to resolve the issue or escalate it.
  • Keep track of outstanding support requests (we have software to help you with this) and make sure they get resolved in a timely manner - communicate updates as needed.
  • Support both Apple (primarily) and Windows desktops/laptops.
  • Configure & support issues with printers, fax machines and A/V equipment.
  • Support our phone systems which primarily consist of both softphones and SIP hard phones.
  • Help with setup of networks as needed (you’ll have some senior support for this)
  • Onboard employees - get their laptops setup, install software, setup various access accounts, configure them on our workforce identify provider (Okta), and perform other related onboarding tasks.
  • Offboard employees - when someone leaves the company, you’ll need to remove their access to various accounts and generally reverse the onboarding process.
  • Maintain an inventory of company hardware.

Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting issues with MacOS (we are mainly an Apple shop) & Windows desktops and laptops.
  • Familiarity configuring and troubleshooting issues with printers, fax machines, scanners, and A/V equipment.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn how to support SIP soft and hard phones.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and willingness to quickly respond to requests for help.
  • Be detail oriented to properly track requests for help and manage them to completion.
  • Must have good communication skills and enjoy working with and serving other people.
  • Be naturally curious about technology, how systems works, and enjoy troubleshooting issues.
