Their tasks often include setting up audio equipment, managing cables, operating recording software, and troubleshooting technical issues. They also learn about audio production techniques and industry standards while gaining hands-on experience in a studio or live setting. This role is typically designed for students or recent graduates seeking to develop foundational skills in audio engineering.

As an Intern Audio Engineer, you’ll typically assist with recording sessions, set up and break down audio equipment, and support senior engineers during mixing and mastering. You may also help maintain studio gear, catalogue session files, and occasionally edit or clean up audio tracks. Interns often get hands-on experience by shadowing professionals, learning signal flow, and participating in team meetings.
