Position Overview:

The Junior Recruiter will support the firm's hiring efforts by identifying, engaging, and coordinating candidates for entry-level to mid-level legal and administrative positions (such as Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Case Managers, and Support Staff). This role is ideal for someone early in their recruiting career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-volume, fast-paced hiring environment. The Junior Recruiter will work closely with the HR team and hiring managers to ensure a smooth, efficient recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs for entry-level to mid-level legal support roles.
  • Assist in developing and executing sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and internal referrals.
  • Conduct initial resume reviews and interviews to evaluate candidate fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring timely communication and a positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate candidate information.
  • Help build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for recurring or upcoming roles.
  • Assist in preparing offer letters and coordinating the offer process with HR.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on candidate progress and open position statuses.
  • Ensure recruitment activities follow company policies and basic employment law guidelines.
  • Support general recruiting and HR administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of recruiting experience; prior internship or coordinator experience in HR/recruiting is a plus.
  • Interest in the legal field; prior exposure to legal roles is helpful but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Greenhouse ATS is a plus.
