What You'll Do
  • Serve as the lead administrator and subject matter expert for the entire Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Architect, design, and implement highly complex and scalable Jira workflows, schemes, and custom fields.
  • Lead the strategic evaluation and management of Atlassian Marketplace add-ons.
  • Administer and optimize critical third-party tools, with advanced expertise in Exalate for robust data synchronization.
  • Proactively identify and resolve advanced Atlassian application issues, ensuring high availability.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive documentation, standards, and governance policies.
  • Lead major Atlassian upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation and advanced configurations.
  • Utilize significant experience with Zendesk to architect and manage deep integrations with Atlassian, optimizing shared workflows.
  • Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance.

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as an Atlassian Administrator, with a significant portion in a senior capacity.
  • Deep expertise in architecting and maintaining highly complex Jira workflows, including advanced scripting (e.g., Groovy).
  • Expert-level understanding of Jira Service Management (JSM) and Confluence.
  • Mastery of Atlassian user management, permissions, and security in large-scale environments.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with third-party Atlassian Marketplace apps, specifically advanced configuration of Exalate.
  • Strong experience with database administration and advanced SQL.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Significant practical experience with Zendesk administration, including API integrations and workflow optimization, especially relating to Atlassian.

Nice to have Traits for This Role
  • Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications are a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python)
