Athletic Field Groundskeeper


To maintain immaculate athletic fields at Florida Atlantic University.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with the turf crew to prepare, maintain, and restore athletic fields as directed, including baseball, softball, soccer, and football surfaces.
  2. Assist with mowing, edging, weed control, and general field grooming on a set schedule.
  3. Prepare and maintain all clay areas where applicable, including infield skins, pitcher's mounds, home plate areas, and warning tracks.
  4. Operate powered equipment including mowers, groomers, and utility vehicles.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment.
  6. Assist with irrigation checks to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
  7. Monitor assigned work areas and promptly report any problems or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  8. Assist with tarp handling and inclement weather field protection procedures.
  9. Safely operate company vehicles and equipment as required.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall maintenance and upkeep of athletic facilities.
