In your role as a licensed practical nurse, you may help schedule patients for assessments, process paperwork, participate in care plan meetings, contact patients to get updates, and assess the medical necessity of admissions, outpatient services, diagnostic procedures, delivered medical equipment, and other materials. This is mainly an advisory position, as at home LPNs focus on instructing patients instead of delivering direct care. Depending on the position, you may be asked to guide amateur responders during emergencies.

These abilities ensure safe, effective care and help maintain patient well-being while working autonomously outside of traditional healthcare environments.
