Job description

Overview

Lutron is seeking a PVD Operator to join our manufacturing team, working at Tanury—a Lutron company—at our Lincoln, Rhode Island facility.  Tanury is the premier decorative plater in the nation and; our work can be seen on high-end motorcycle and automotive parts, private and commercial aviation, marine hardware—even on the items you may wear such as high-end gift or jewelry items.  We are looking for a mechanically skilled Machine Operator with experience in Vacuum Process Technology.   


Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor Vacuum Technology equipment production equipment and supporting systems through structured on-the-job training and documented qualification processes.
  • Perform assigned production and equipment tasks independently after completing required training and individual signoffs.
  • Safely operate PVD Production Equipment and support systems in compliance with established procedures.
  • Monitor equipment, processes, and safety systems; accurately log operating data and report abnormal conditions.
  • Strictly adhere to safety procedures, policies, and protocols to minimize risk when working with hazardous materials.

Qualifications
  • 5 years’ experience in industrial processing technology
  • Manufacturing machine operation skills with specific experience in to coating vacuum technology processing, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Computer savvy with PLC experience a plus
  • Flexibility to work overtime
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates of Science or higher a PLUS
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
  • Desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time
