Job Description:


Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and application development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable integrations that enable data exchange and business capabilities across Sallie Mae platforms. The position contributes to enterprise integration standards, API strategy, and operational excellence while ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and governance requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support MuleSoft APIs and integration solutions utilizing API-led connectivity and enterprise integration best practices.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce, AWS, Snowflake/Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and other internal and external platforms.
  • Participate in architecture and solution design activities, providing recommendations on integration patterns, technical approaches, and platform capabilities.
  • Develop reusable APIs, shared services, integration frameworks, and components that promote consistency, scalability, and maintainability across the enterprise.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including interface specifications, solution designs, deployment procedures, and operational support documentation.
  • Support CI/CD processes, deployment automation, release management activities, and environment strategy across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues through root cause analysis and effective production support practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, security teams, infrastructure teams, and application developers to ensure successful delivery of business solutions.
  • Implement and maintain security, monitoring, logging, alerting, governance, and performance standards for integration services.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams while promoting enterprise development standards and best practices.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in integration architecture, development processes, operational support, and platform capabilities.
