Assistant Spa Manager - Sales & Operations Leader
Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spa - Lehi, UT

Are you a natural leader who loves coaching people, driving sales, and creating an exceptional customer experience?
Hand & Stone is looking for an Assistant Spa Manager who can lead our front desk team, grow memberships, and help build a positive, high-performing culture.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll lead by example while coaching the team to consistently exceed sales and service expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
* 1. Lead Membership Sales (Our #1 Priority)
Hand & Stone is a membership-based business, and our Assistant Manager is responsible for creating a strong sales culture.
You will:
  • Lead the front desk team in membership sales.
  • Coach receptionists to confidently present memberships.
  • Track performance and celebrate wins.
  • Ensure every qualified guest is offered a membership.
  • Be confident, energetic, and comfortable asking for the sale.

2. Deliver an Exceptional Guest Experience
Set the standard for outstanding hospitality.
You will:
  • Ensure every guest is greeted immediately with warmth and positive energy.
  • Coach team members to provide five-star customer service.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally.
  • Create a welcoming environment that guests want to return to.

3. Oversee Booking Accuracy
Accuracy keeps the spa running smoothly.
You will:
  • Ensure appointments are booked correctly.
  • Verify schedules, therapist availability, and guest preferences.
  • Coach team members to minimize booking errors.

4. Drive Rebooking
Every guest should leave with their next appointment whenever possible.
You will:
  • Train the team to confidently recommend follow-up appointments.
  • Monitor rebooking performance.
  • Build long-term guest relationships through consistent scheduling.

⬆ 5. Increase Upgrades & Additional Services
Lead by example in recommending upgrades, enhancements, and spa services that improve the guest experience while growing revenue.
6. Promote Gift Card Sales
Help the team confidently discuss gift card promotions for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and special occasions.
7. Lead with Professionalism
The Assistant Manager sets the tone for the entire spa.
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading by example every shift.
  • Coaching and holding team members accountable.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Staying off personal phones while working.
  • Standing to greet guests whenever possible.
  • Opening doors for guests.
  • Offering water and warm neck wraps.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized front desk.
  • Creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere every day.

8. Coach, Develop & Hold the Team Accountable
You are responsible for building a winning front desk team.
You will:
  • Train new receptionists.
  • Coach sales and customer service skills.
  • Conduct daily encouragement and accountability.
  • Help recruit and retain top performers.
  • Ensure schedule coverage for opens, closes, weekends, and holidays.
  • Foster a positive, team-first culture built on ownership and accountability.

Qualifications
