Job Summary

Associate Project Manager will help build out a newly developed Mission Critical construction team. The APM will assist in the management of multiple projects while providing support to the Project Managers and other key members in the preconstruction phases as well as during the projects. Help coordinate projects and plans, schedules, and track the progress of projects and report their results. 


Responsibilities
  • Help oversee a construction project from start to finish.
  • Manage preconstruction paperwork and engage with all internal and external parties.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities including the POD and time sheets.
  • Assist in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
  • Work with project manager to ensure understanding of all project activities, schedules and deliverables.
  • Help to manage client responsibilities and expectations.
  • Work with management to develop the objectives/goals of each member and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis. 
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability. 

Qualifications
  • Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple priorities 
  • Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressure 
  • Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required 
  • Excellent communication, accounting and organizational skills 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Timberline 
  • A basic to good understanding of construction means and methods 
  • Basic understanding/proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry. 
  • Completed OSHA ET&D Training 

Education and/or Work Experience: 

Must have one of the following

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Technology, or Construction Management 
  • Construction Management with 1-2 years of experience with a commercial and/or Industrial general contractor; 
  • 2+ years of directly related experience with no degree 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is primarily sedentary, with some filing or lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
