The Associate/Jr. Project Manager is responsible for supporting the business in managing standard orders and requirements of customers as well as assists the Project Manager in executing their projects with duties such as controlling project-plans and performance activities across multiple functional lines in a Engineering to Order business environment. This role provides Project Management support to ensure that the Company delivers a quality product on time while maintaining budget and cash flow through the effective preparation and management of project schedules, invoicing, sub-contractor management and logistics management. This role performs logistical support functions as well as project related administrative activities such as the extraction, gathering, compilation, and distribution of related documents from engineering through the manufacturing process proactively internally, with customers and subcontractors.

They are expected to be detail oriented, capable of using project management tools and effectively communicate with a diverse audience. To navigate the demands of this position, Jr. Project Manager is expected to have problem-solving skills, demonstrate sense of urgency, and ability to gain knowledge around products, business and PM skills.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Supports the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing out of projects for the company's customers under tight deadlines with proactive and winning approach.

Monitors project timetables and milestones and collaborates with project teams to help ensure project deadlines and quality requirements are met.

Keeps project plans and budgets up to date to reflect progress made and approved scope changes. Proactively seeks status from internal and external resources, prepares monthly status reports that meet client & other stake holder expectations.

Supports project document flow - Sends, receives and logs documents in job files.

Performs various task involved in Warehouse & Material flow such as client logistic portal management, generate shipping documents, logistic planning and delivery management.

Maintains the transmittal and document database to ensure complete and accurate record keeping in adherence to Document Control and Document Numbering Procedures.

Assists with providing insights into progress of project deliverables and gathering responses for project related questions.

Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers regarding project inquiries or department procedures/requirements.

Supports the Company's invoicing and collection efforts by invoicing accurately and on time as soon as all contractual terms and conditions are met, as well as by aggressively monitoring the aging report and following-up with customers on a consistent basis.

Interfaces with suppliers, subordinates and customers as needed proactively as needed to ensure project deadlines are met.

Assists in identifying problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job and suggest appropriate solutions.

Supports multiple projects and/or pursuits simultaneously.

Continues to develop additional knowledge and understanding of fabrication and engineering processes to provide more complete and effective support of projects.

Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Tech or Engineering (Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical), or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Experience in a Engineering, steel fabrication or construction environment is a plus.

A moderate understanding of fundamental project management methodology.

Possess strong sense of urgency, customer first approach, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational and analytical abilities.

Adept at taking responsibility for multiple assignments, prioritizing conflicting tasks, and working with little supervision to meet deadlines with proactively planning.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work on a highly professional level with customers and internal team members.

Ability to work well independently and on a team.

Ability to work with, and take direction from, multiple levels of professional staff.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project. Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Licensing or Certifications:

PMP or Project Management training a plus.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel as required.

Valid Driver's License required.

Work Environment; Office Position: This position is based at the headquarters located in Addison, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.

Positions in this function typically require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.

The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.

Compliance with company attendance standards.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
