About this role
Automated Logic in Waco, TX has an opportunity with our Global Strategic Accounts team for an Associate Project Manager. This role is an entry-level Project Management position that works closely with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and other members of the operations team to help ensure BAS projects are delivered on time, under budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects following project processes and where applicable under direction from Sr. Project Manager
  • Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget, on-time and with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects.
  • Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope
  • Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues
  • Manage relationships with sub-contractors, identifying issues, and take corrective action plans to remedy any issues

Essential Functions
FINANCIAL
  • Perform "actual vs. estimated" analyses and identify variances, reasons for variances, and mitigation steps.
  • Maintain budget or reduce cost, maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive cash flow through approved SOV, follow up on billings.

PROJECT SCHEDULING
  • Plan manpower and know when resources are required on the project.
  • Create a working schedule and proactively plan and protect our contractual timelines.

SUBCONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
  • Schedule continuous site visits to quality check our subcontractor.
  • Be able to provide installation and schedule direction.
  • Document all installation/schedule issues with subcontractor.

COMMUNICATION AND DOCUMENTATION
  • Provide necessary documentation and communication to all customer levels and sub-contractors and/or ensure that the appropriate members of the project team do so.
  • Professionally represent Automated Logic in meetings and always be proactive in defending the company's best interest.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC, Construction or Building Automation and Controls
  • 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Clean and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls (3- or 4-year program)
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Strong problem solving, planning and project management skills
  • Ability to read and understand scope of work
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project financial reporting
  • Previous field experience with commissioning of DDC Systems and/or hands-on experience in the field of deploying or commissions
  • Prior experience in Construction, HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred
  • Experience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines
  • A true team player who has the customer's best interests first and foremost

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
