Senior Project Manager – Commissions / Annuities

Location: Dallas, TX. Onsite- Contract Position Experience: 20+ Years.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with over 20 years of experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects within the financial services or insurance domain, specifically focused on commissions and annuities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving business value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex projects related to commission structures, payout systems, and annuity product implementations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, actuaries, finance, compliance, and IT teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Analyze existing commission and annuity processes to identify gaps and recommend system enhancements or redesigns.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal risk controls related to financial product distribution and compensation.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and third-party integrations for commissions and annuities platforms.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies – ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Mentor junior project managers and business analysts, fostering a culture of ownership, excellence, and accountability.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and stakeholder communication on project progress, risks, and financial impacts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Finance, IT, or related field.
  • PMP, certifications required.
  • Extensive experience (20+ years) in project management, with at least 10 years focused on commission-based compensation models and annuity product lifecycles.
  • Deep understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, and financial modeling systems.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional team environments and stakeholder management.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience with commission engines, CRM systems, and policy administration platforms (e.g., Oracle Insurance, Salesforce FSC, SAP FS-CD).
  • Familiarity with broker-dealer environments, insurance carriers, or asset management firms.
