Position Summary
The Associate Project Manager supports the successful startup and maintenance of clinical trials by coordinating study activities, managing study databases, and serving as a primary point of contact for sponsors, CROs, investigator sites, and internal teams. This role ensures studies are implemented on time, within budget, and in compliance with protocol, regulatory, and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clinical trial studies during startup and implementation.
  • Review study protocols and amendments to support successful study setup and execution.
  • Develop and maintain study specifications, databases, manuals, and supporting documentation.
  • Configure, test, quality check, and maintain study data within the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
  • Coordinate study startup activities to meet Site Initiation Visit (SIV) and database lock timelines.
  • Collaborate with sponsors, CROs, investigator sites, laboratory teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Monitor study progress, communicate updates, identify risks, and help implement mitigation plans.
  • Provide study support to investigator sites, including training, supply coordination, issue resolution, and study communications.
  • Review project-related invoices and maintain accurate study documentation in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Support client audits, inspections, and other project-related activities as needed.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Senior Clinical Trials Assistant, Project Coordinator, or similar role within a CRO, central laboratory, or clinical research environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet client-driven deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical research systems.

Preferred
  • Experience working in a clinical trial laboratory environment.
  • Experience supporting sponsors, CROs, and investigator sites.
