Job Summary

Associate Project Manager will help build out a newly developed Mission Critical construction team. The APM will assistย in the management of multiple projects while providing support to the Project Managers and other key members in the preconstruction phases as well as during the projects. Help coordinate projects and plans, schedules, and track the progress of projects and report their results.ย 


Responsibilities
  • Help oversee a construction project from start to finish.
  • Manage preconstruction paperwork and engage with all internal and external parties.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities including the POD and time sheets.
  • Assist in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
  • Work with project manager to ensure understanding of all project activities, schedules and deliverables.
  • Help to manage client responsibilities and expectations.
  • Work with management to develop the objectives/goals of each member and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis.ย 
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.ย

  • Ability to multitask andย maintainย effectiveness with multipleย prioritiesย 
  • Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled underย pressureย 
  • Ability to follow directions and take initiative whenย requiredย 
  • Excellent communication,ย accountingย and organizationalย skillsย 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office andย Timberlineย 
  • A basic to good understanding of construction means andย methodsย 
  • Basic understanding/proficiencyย with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the constructionย industry.ย 
  • Completed OSHA ET&Dย Trainingย 

Education and/or Work Experience:ย 

Must have one of the following

  • Degree inย Engineering, Business, Finance, Technology, or Construction Managementย 
  • Construction Management with 1-2 years of experience with a commercial and/or Industrial generalย contractor;ย 
  • 2+ years ofย directly relatedย experience with noย degreeย

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.ย ย
