Job description

Title: Program Analyst

Location: San Diego (Hybrid)

Summary: This position works with the Program Management team and software engineering leads to support the delivery of software products in technology areas including XHTML, HTML, XML, Windows, and/or Linux.

As a Program Analyst, you would be involved in the full software lifecycle, from requirements definitions through system level testing. You would work with Systems and Software engineers to ensure requirements are well defined and addressed in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย  Creating software project plans using MS Excel, and tracking execution of tasks. Link and manage complex dependencies with various teams. Optimize the schedule for dependencies and staffing constraints.

ย ย ย ย ย  Maintaining and tracking program status, metrics and reports. Providing senior management and the project team with up-to-date status, scorecards, dashboards, metrics, attributes, resources, and milestones.

ย ย ย ย ย  Working with individual engineers and other key contributors to obtain information on highly visible, global development projects. Partnering with teams to deliver on committed schedules.

ย ย ย ย ย  Supporting all aspects and phases of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).

ย ย ย ย ย  Supporting the development team and facilitating tool coordination, identifying potential schedule slips, perform reporting, data collection/analysis, and publish key results.

ย ย ย ย ย  Manage scoping of requirements and change control.

ย ย ย ย ย  Actively following through on open issues and ETAs with cross functional teams.

Skills/Minimum Qualification

ย ย ย ย ย  Must have three years of related professional experience, in information technology (IT) strongly preferred.

ย ย ย ย ย  Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to identify problems, gather requirements, and implement solutions with limited supervision and the flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast moving environment.

ย ย ย ย ย  Must have strong working knowledge of MS Office with expert level skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

ย ย ย ย ย  Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

ย ย ย ย ย  Must be detail oriented and be able to manage data from multiple sources and establish clarity.

ย ย ย ย ย  Be able to independently recognize areas for process improvements and develop creative methods for accomplishing objectives.

ย ย ย ย ย  Current active DoD Secret clearance.
