Summary As a Senior Professional Programmer Analyst at Gainwell, you will be part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used and relied upon by millions of patients.

Your role in our mission Make a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell's industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position. Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs. Assists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.

Gathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs. Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision. Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.

Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity. Assists in resolving production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems.

Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.

Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews. Remains abreast of and researches industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards. What we're looking for 5+ years of application development and programming with Pro*C, C and/or C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment Experience with Shell Scripting, SQL and Oracle Previous Healthcare/Medicaid experience is required Experience with InterChange systems is a plus (proprietary systems to Gainwell) What you should expect in this role Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%) Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
