Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting

Since first receiving AACSB accreditation in 2007, the school has successfully maintained this recognition through rigorous periodic review, reflecting its ongoing commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and high-quality business education

NCCU Business is a flagship program with majors in Accounting, Business Management (Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Management, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship), Information Technology (Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and Information Communications Technology), and Hospitality & Tourism Administration. We offer BBA and MBA degrees within the School of Business. NCCUโ€™S School of Business has an enrollment of over 1,900 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

The School of Business at North Carolina Central University invites applications for a 9-month, tenureโ€‘track Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting. We seek candidates who combine strong potential in teaching and research with a commitment to student success and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities for the role are to teach undergraduate courses and, as needed, graduate courses, contribute to curriculum development and assurance of learning efforts, support online instruction as needed, maintain an active program of scholarship and produce quality academic research, and participate in service activities that support the department, school, and university.

The desired qualifications of the Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting are an earned Ph.D. in Business with a major in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution and demonstrated potential for highโ€‘quality teaching and scholarly research. Preferred areas of expertise are in accounting systems/data analytics and tax. SAP experience is also preferred.
