JOB TITLE:
Associate Professor or Assistant Professor
JOB PURPOSE:
The mission of the Division of Communication Disorders is to advance the science behind practice, develop practice ready speech-language pathologists to serve the communication needs of individuals from all backgrounds. The successful candidate will contribute to these efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Division of Communication Disorders at the University of Wyoming is seeking an Associate or Assistant Professor in speech-language pathology with a strong preference for candidates with commensurate experience at the Associate level in alignment with division tenure and promotion standards. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. Primary responsibilities include sustaining a research program in areas of interest, teaching, and service. On campus presence is required for teaching and other duties. Salary and benefits are competitive, and start-up package is excellent.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Earned doctorate in speech-language pathology or related discipline and evidence of potential for independent research productivity and publications by time of appointment. Experience: Evidence of promise for scholarly achievement, potential to develop an independent research program, and potential for high-quality teaching. Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: Evidence of scholarly achievement, development of an independent research program and evidence of high-quality teaching. The successful candidate will be hired to the appropriate level based on qualifications.
Candidates at Associate rank are eligible to apply for the Maggie and Dick Scarlett Chair in Speech-Language Pathology.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
All areas of expertise will be considered, but expertise in dysphagia, cognitive communication disorders, voice disorders, craniofacial disorders, stuttering, speech and/or hearing science is desirable.

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
