Title: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR - INSTRUCTION

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking a candidate for an academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor on the Instruction (non-tenure) track. This individual will contribute to the departmental mission in a team-teaching oriented environment.
The successful candidate will have the ability to immediately instruct in Gross Anatomy. Candidates with experience in cadaveric dissection in a health science center environment will be given prioritized consideration. Expertise in one or more of the following fields is preferred but not required: neuroanatomy, embryology and histology. Applicants must have completed the requirements for a PhD, MD, or DPT by the hire date at the Assistant Professor level, and for higher ranks they should have teaching experience commensurate with the desired rank. Teaching duties may be assigned within the multiple health professional schools of the LSU Health Sciences Center (Medicine, Dentistry, Allied Health and Nursing). We are looking for dedicated educators, participation in educational research is preferred but not required.
