We are looking for a Production Supervisor. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
We are hiring a Production Team Supervisor for the Protection and Automation Panels operation in Wendell, NC. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of technicians on the shop floor as direct reports, oversee production execution, monitor labor and attendance, develop employees, report production status, and escalate safety, quality, delivery, or productivity issues as needed.
You'll make an impact by:
  • Leading an assigned team of technicians to meet daily production, safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Overseeing daily floor operations, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and reporting production, staffing, material, and scheduling issues to the Production Manager.
  • Reporting assembly status, operational risks, and team performance issues that may affect execution or customer commitments.
  • Supporting onboarding, cross-training, and technician development, including growth talks and one-on-one coaching.
  • Monitoring labor charges, attendance, and shift work hours to support accurate reporting, schedule execution, and team accountability.
  • Reinforcing policy, guideline, and standard work adherence while maintaining a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Providing recognition for strong performance and addressing performance or conduct concerns through coaching and disciplinary action when needed.
  • Completing SAP transactions and maintaining production reports, metrics, and area tracking requirements.
  • Reinforcing 5S/6S, lean practices, safety expectations, and continuous improvement across the work area.
  • Partnering with engineering, materials, and quality teams to resolve issues and support efficient production flow.
  • Serving as backup to the Production Manager as needed.
  • Help maintain operational documentation, work instructions, and training support materials.
  • Reinforce employee development through regular coaching, feedback, and follow-up.
  • Support onboarding, cross-training, and training matrix updates for the team.
  • Support training and support technicians on production processes, work instructions, workmanship expectations, and safety requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology, engineering, or manufacturing, including 3+ years leading direct or indirect teams.
  • Working knowledge of production operations, material flow, labor tracking, attendance expectations, and shop floor systems such as SAP or similar tools.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, including the ability to coach employees, reinforce policy adherence, provide recognition, and address performance concerns when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience in Protection and Automation panels, industrial control panels, or UL508A-related manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S/6S, standard work, A3, or 8D.
  • Experience with training, onboarding, and cross-training programs.
  • Familiarity with SAP, SharePoint, Salesforce, PDF markup, Dayforce, or similar digital tools.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical products, industrial control components, and panel wiring standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, BOMs, and assembly documentation.
  • 5 years of experience successfully leading a team or managing a group of employees

The pay range for this position is $50,337 - $86,292 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
