Job description

Associate Product Developer

We are seeking an Associate Product Developer to support the development of apparel products from concept through production. This role will help manage a broad seasonal assortment and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring product to market on time, within cost targets, and in line with quality standards.

The right candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and categories. This person will partner with teams across design, merchandising, sourcing, technical design, sales, and production to support smooth development and execution from initial concept to final handoff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the product development process across multiple apparel categories
  • Manage development details from concept through production readiness
  • Create and maintain product specs, costing information, and development documentation in PLM
  • Track calendars, approvals, and milestones to help keep projects on schedule
  • Review fabrics, trims, wash treatments, prints, and construction details
  • Evaluate prototypes and samples and communicate clear feedback to vendors and internal teams
  • Monitor sample progress and maintain organization across a high volume of styles
  • Partner with internal teams to support margin goals and product quality
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through materials, sourcing, or construction changes
  • Communicate with vendors and factory partners throughout the development cycle
  • Troubleshoot issues proactively to avoid delays and support on-time delivery

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in apparel product development
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, costing, sourcing, and PLM systems
  • Ability to manage multiple product categories and deadlines at once
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
