The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations within a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment. This role ensures efficient execution of inbound, outbound, and inventory processes while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. The Operations Manager leads a team of associates, drives performance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational and client expectations.
Manages daily warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and returns
Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity and accuracy targets
Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure optimal labor utilization and schedule adherence
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, order accuracy, on-time shipping, and inventory accuracy
Identify operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions in real time
Support inventory control processes including cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
Collaborate with customer service and clients to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality
Assist in workforce planning, including scheduling, attendance management, and performance evaluations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a 3PL environment
1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience managing operations for multiple clients in a 3PL setting
