Job description

Network Administrator
We are currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our IT team at Solid State Devices, Inc. In this mid-level role, primary responsibility is maintaining the day-to-day operation of an organization's computer networks. This includes tasks like managing hardware and software, monitoring network performance, securing the network from threats, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Network Maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and intranet systems.
  • Ensure optimal network performance and uptime.

Security Management
  • Implement firewalls, VPNs, and other security tools.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, respond to breaches, and apply patches/updates.

Hardware & Software Configuration
  • Install and configure routers, switches, and servers.
  • Set up network operating systems and applications.

User Support
  • Assist users with connectivity issues.
  • Manage access controls, permissions, and authentication.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Keep records of network configurations, maintenance, and issues.
  • Prepare reports on network performance and incidents.

Typical Tools & Technologies
  • Hardware: Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, wireless access points.
  • Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux/Unix.
