The Associate HR Consultant/HR Consultant I serves as a professional consultant representing Abundant Professional Services in delivering Human Resources consulting, workforce risk assessments, Human Resources Audits, compliance reviews, organizational support, and workforce solutions to client organizations.

This position is designed for experienced Human Resources professionals who possess demonstrated practical HR knowledge and the ability to apply employment laws, policies, and sound business judgment in a consulting environment.

The Associate HR Consultant works independently on assigned client projects while receiving guidance and mentorship from the Senior HR Consultant and designated HR Consultant as needed.

Employment may be contingent upon contract awards and business needs. Anticipated hire date: August 17, 2026.

Job Description

The Associate HR Consultant is expected to professionally represent Abundant Professional Services while delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive Human Resources Audits.
  • Evaluate personnel files for compliance with federal, state, and client-specific requirements.
  • Review employment applications, resumes, interview documentation, and hiring practices.
  • Conduct onboarding and personnel file compliance reviews.
  • Review employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify organizational compliance risks and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Assist clients with employee relations matters.
  • Support workplace investigations under the direction of senior consultants.
  • Assist with corrective action documentation and performance improvement processes.
  • Conduct HR compliance research.
  • Prepare written audit reports, findings, and executive summaries.
  • Assist with HR project implementation.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Provide onsite consulting support as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate consulting notes and client documentation.
  • Protect confidential client and employee information at all times.
