Job description

Job Description This position requires onsite work at Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is seeking a Production Test Engineer (PTE) and play a critical role in supporting our product lifecycle from development through high-rate production and depot activities. In this role, you will validate prime hardware against strict technical data package requirements, ensure test equipment compliance, and drive continuous improvement to boost efficiency, yields, and capacity. As a key problem solver on our floor, you will troubleshoot complex test failures, lead root-cause investigations, and manage vital test equipment infrastructure to ensure operational excellence. Day in the Life: * Support the test process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities
* Validates and ensures compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment
* Performs troubleshooting and problem solving of test failures
* Identifies opportunities in test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity
* Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware
* Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan
* Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence
* Leads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields
* Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis
* Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software
* Assist in non routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment
* Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans
* Performs risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews
* Leads projects and is responsible for execution
* Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications & Experience: * Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment * Active Secret Clearance
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
* 2 + years of relevant software engineering experience
* Proven ability to diagnose, isolate, and repair technical failures in electrical or mechanical hardware
* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical data package requirements
