The Team Youโ€™ll Join

Youโ€™ll join Envestnetโ€™s Legal & Compliance team, a collaborative group of legal professionals dedicated to supporting the companyโ€™s innovative financial technology and wealth management solutions. Working alongside experienced attorneys and business partners, you will help navigate complex commercial agreements, manage legal risk, and support key strategic initiatives across the organization. This team plays a critical role in enabling business growth while maintaining a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and client-focused service.

 

Howโ€ฏYouโ€™llโ€ฏContributeโ€ฏโ€ฏ

Provides advice and support across all phases of the contract management lifecycle. Works with business partners and with inhouse legal counsel โ€“ providing guidance and advice โ€“ to help write, analyze and respond to proposals, negotiate contract \ terms and identify and mitigate risk. Maintains records of existing and past contracts. Identifies, recommends and implements contract management procedures, policies and business processes.
โ€ข    Serve as the primary attorney supporting the corporate procurement and strategic sourcing teams, including the review, analysis, drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of vendor services agreements, including IT and technology contracts.
โ€ข    Lead the drafting, management, and negotiation of corporate non-disclosure agreements, serving as the primary attorney responsible for the NDA workflow.
โ€ข    Provides contract-related advice and support across broader business and contract areas.
โ€ข    Leads all aspects of contract development, analysis and negotiation, ensuring that deadlines are met, proactively flagging roadblocks / barriers and collaborating with team members to ensure their understanding, timely engagement and alignment.
โ€ข    Drafts, revises and negotiates commercial terms for sales orders, service agreements, statements of work, restatements and amendments.
โ€ข    Reviews contract documentation, content and provisions for accuracy, compliance and alignment with business objectives.
โ€ข    Contributes to the development and negotiation of non-routine and specialized contract vehicles.
โ€ข    Advises relevant parties on approval requirements and ensures approvals are based on sound interpretation of corporate policies.
โ€ข    Recognizes unusual requirements and issues, proactively keeping relevant managers and teams apprised.
โ€ข    Manages business partner, client and other stakeholder communication.
โ€ข    Audits contract management processes and procedures, identifying and recommending areas for improvement.
โ€ข    Draft, review, and negotiate agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and business requirements.
โ€ข    Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to advance enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and business objectives.
โ€ข    Support Envestnetโ€™s business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to drive value and mitigate risk.

Whatโ€ฏYouโ€™llโ€ฏNeed to Bring

โ€ข    Candidates should demonstrate the relevant experience, skills, and capabilities needed to successfully perform in the role. Relevant experience may be gained through current responsibilities, prior roles, project work, leadership opportunities, or other comparable experiences.
โ€ข    Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
โ€ข    Member in good standing of a state bar.
โ€ข    Strong drafting and analytical skills.
โ€ข    Ability to understand business needs and requirements.
โ€ข    Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
โ€ข    Willingness and capacity to learn new and evolving regulatory fields.

  • Experience and/or interest in FinTech, IT, artificial intelligence, data security, privacy regulation is a plus.

This role offers a base salary range ofโ€ฏ$94,600โ€ฏto $118,300. The range listedโ€ฏrepresentsโ€ฏa good-faith estimate of base salary compensation for this position and does not include incentive compensation, equity or benefits. Individual pay will beโ€ฏdeterminedโ€ฏbased on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location,โ€ฏin accordance withโ€ฏapplicable pay transparency laws.โ€ฏโ€ฏThis role is eligible for an additional incentiveโ€ฏcomponentโ€ฏas part of the total rewards package.
