Job Title: General Store Scorekeeper
Entity: Rocker B Ranch
Reports to: General Manager
Pay Rate: $12/hr

Availability: Part Time
Overview
As a General Store Scorekeeper Member at Rocker B Ranch, you will support both retail operations and youth baseball tournament activities at our world-class facility. Working under the direction of the General Manager and Tournament Staff, this role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, supporting game-day operations, and creating a welcoming experience for teams, families, and guests throughout the complex.
Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service to guests, teams, and families
  • Ring in sales and assist customers in the general store and outdoor retail tent
  • Stock, organize, and restock merchandise, apparel, and novelties
  • Perform routine inventory counts, audits, and receive purchase orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of store, retail tent, and work areas, including disinfecting fixtures and displays
  • Assist with youth baseball tournament operations, including scoreboard operation and game announcements
  • Serve as a point of contact at assigned fields by answering questions, assisting guests, and supporting game flow
  • Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the values of the Ripken brand
  • Assist in other areas of the business as needed
Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or currently attending high school
  • Prior customer service or retail experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Passion for sports and working in a youth sports environment

Preferred:
  • 1-3 years of retail or customer service experience
  • Baseball or softball experience (playing, coaching, or working)
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Routinely lift or move items weighing 20-50 pounds
  • Ability to move quickly, bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and climb stairs
  • Work outdoors and indoors with exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, and noise
  • Flexible hours including extended shifts during tournaments, weekends, and evenings
