Job description

The Salesforce QA Automation Engineer is a key member of the QTS Business Support Services team responsible for manual and automated testing for the Salesforce platform, with a primary focus on Sales, CPQ, ARM, and related Quote to Cash processes. This role will manage testing requirements, test plans, test execution and automation support for development and change events while helping expand automation knowledge and adoption across the QA team.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop training materials and mentor QA team members as they learn to create new automated tests, maintain existing scripts, and apply automation best practices.

  • Support and help evolve quality assurance automation standards and procedures used by the QA team.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the automation platform and related issues, including troubleshooting and coordinating resolution as needed.

  • Draft comprehensive and well-structured manual and automated test cases including detailed API, system integration and web UI test cases.

  • Execute manual and automated test cases to identify, document and support resolution of defects/bugs.

  • Analyze data and workflow diagrams to identify areas of improvement in the quality system.

  • Prepare reports to communicate results of QA activities, test execution status, defects and automation progress.

  • Conduct all types of testing, including but not limited to: integration, system, smoke, automated, interface, and regression testing.

  • Provide QA signoff for production releases and support automated regression testing for QA, UAT and Production deployments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields or equivalent professional experience

  • Six or more years of QA testing and automation experience

  • Experience testing APIs and troubleshooting system integration workflows.

  • Solid knowledge of automated testing practices, including maintaining and enhancing existing automation assets, supporting automation standards, and teaching/training associates to automate.

  • Experience with testing end-to-end processes and performing root cause analysis

  • Comfortable documenting detailed process flows, workflow diagrams to be used for testing and troubleshooting purposes

  • US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Domain experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud , CPQ / Quote-to-Cash, ARM / Revenue-related workflows.

  • Experience with Copado CRT or similar Salesforce test automation tools. Python based automation experience preferred.

  • CI/CD familiarity and experience supporting automated testing within release pipelines.

  • JIRA/Xray experience.

  • Must be capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks under pressure while maintaining strong customer service and a professional demeanor
