Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to:Regional Sales Manager - North America East__B&R Industrial Automation, a segment of ABB’s Automation Business, is hiring for a Business Development Engineer to drive new business and market penetration in North America, specifically on the Eastern part of the United States. The Business Development Engineer will play an integral role in identifying untapped markets and growing the customer base in the territory.Your Role and Responsibilities:Grow sales of B&R's complete product range in the territory by working on new and existing sales opportunitiesIdentify, define, and develop the best technical solution and strategy for customer applicationsHold in-depth technical presentations and discussions with the customersExpand customer base through the development and execution of a Target Account Business PlanDevelop market intelligence and document this knowledge in B&R’s CRM system (Customer Relationship Management) systemWork with Marketing, Business Development, and other resources to promote sales effortsAttend trade shows to seek out potential customers and to represent B&R at these shows; attend yearly sales meetings and workshopsIncrease sales with existing customers through exceptional sales support as well as the introduction of new products and servicesAdditional duties as assignedOur Team DynamicsOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning.
