Job description

As the Associate Account Executive (AAE), you will support the Account Executive by managing day-to-day sales activity, account coordination, and client engagement within an assigned book of business. This role is focused on account management execution, sales support, and pipeline assistance, ensuring customers are well supported while enabling the Account Executive to focus on strategy and growth.  The Associate AE works closely with the Account Executive and Sales Operations partners to help maintain existing business, surface incremental opportunities, and ensure a consistent and positive client experience. 

Job Functions (Employees must be able to perform the job functions of this position satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the duties, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.   • Account Management & Client Support 

  • Support assigned accounts by assisting with ongoing client communication, follow-ups, and requests 

  • Help maintain strong relationships through consistent touchpoints and responsiveness 

  • Assist with order coordination, program updates, and issue resolution in partnership with Sales Operations 

  • Ensure clients receive timely information related to products, timelines, and program execution 

  • Daily Sales Activity & AE Support 

  • Assist the Account Executive with daily sales activities, including meeting preparation, follow-up actions, and outbound support 

  • Support scheduled outreach and engagement aligned to the Account Executive’s priorities 

  • Help coordinate and schedule meetings, including, reviews and check-ins 

  • Identify and flag potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities for the Account Executive to pursue 

  • Pipeline & Opportunity Assistance 

  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services. 

  • Ability to consistently and accurately document opportunities and track each stage of the sales process in the CRM 

  • Assist with preparing materials related to opportunities, quotes, and account reviews 

  • Sales Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Sales Operations to support: 

  • Order setup and execution 

  • Program launches and changes 

  • Client-specific processes and reporting 

  • Act as a reliable connection point between the Account Executive, Sales Ops, and other Cross Functional Partners 

  • CRM, Reporting & Organization 

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, notes, and activity tracking 

  • Support reporting needs related to account activity and pipeline 

  • Ensure consistency and organization across assigned accounts 

Skills 

  • Demonstrates proficiency in core responsibilities and tasks within their role. 

  • Works independently on routine tasks and requires limited supervision. 

  • Contributes to team projects and collaborates effectively with peers. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time. 

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. 

  • Ability to travel 10+ days per year. 

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience 

  • Professional certifications are a plus 

  • 2-4 years of sales support, account management, or customer-facing roles 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Clear and professional communication skills 

  • Comfort working in CRM systems and cross-functional environments 

  • Interest in developing within a sales or account management career path
