A Director of Sales, Assisted Living manages and oversees the sales operations for all Assisted Living products at a local campus / community level. Their main duties include developing and cultivating relationships with prospects and advocates (internal customers and external market) to determine needs and build the value of the organization's service offerings, designing sales plans to meet identified productivity goals and sales targets, including creative tactics to generate leads and convert leads to move-ins, as well as understanding market insight to remain competitive. Assisted Living Sales Directors work in collaboration with and at the direction of community leaders and the Director of Health Care Sales to achieve and exceed occupancy goals. The majority of this position is focused on Inside Sales and approximately 10% of time is Outside Sales.
Create, plan and implement sales strategies that generate new prospect interest, resulting in increasing average number of leads to the community while utilizing the Assisted Living Sales Plan review tool.
Creates a process for transition integration to develop and cultivate relationships with internal customers from move-in until applicable time of transition need. Touchpoints are to serve as a benefit to the existing customer in understanding additional healthcare services available to them and how they may benefit from a timely transition in care.
Utilizes the Assisted Living sales process and tools during inquiry to convert interest to an onsite community visit.
Pre-plans and conducts community visits utilizing prescribed tools. Demonstrates strong closing skills by converting community visits to move-ins as measured in CRM.
Implements the prescribed Assisted Living Follow-up Process from inquiry to move in or loss of the lead. Documents with detail each sales touchpoint in Enquire (CRM Software).
Creates and implements a consistent and effective community outreach plan.
Conducts an annual Competitive Analysis review along with quarterly updates as applicable. Presents key findings within the Assisted Living Sales Plan review for further business insight.
Manages move-ins and move-outs to achieve maximum revenue potential.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required Degree: High school
Preferred Degree: Bachelor's
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in sales with a preference given to the Senior Living industry.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Understanding of business-to-consumer sales as well as business-to-business referral development.
  • The person must be tactful and possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal, English), and be able to communicate effectively with administration, staff, residents, referral sources, and others with whom this position has contact.
  • This individual should be self-motivated and creative, possessing a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to the public pleasantly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of sales and business development concepts and an understanding of the senior living lifestyle is necessary. Understanding and knowledge of the concept of continuing care retirement community is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable working in and representing a Covenant Living, faith-based senior living community. Able to represent the values of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Compensation Pay Range:
$78,866.00 - $112,107.50 per year
Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $78,866.00 - $112,107.50 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
