Título: Kitchen Assistant

Descripción General: Responsable de supervisión e implementación del plan de trabajo relacionado a la preparación de alimentos para los participantes en el Programa de Cena Saludable llevando a cabo la confección de los menús, según los estándares de salud establecidos.

Tares y responsabilidades del puesto:

  1. Preparar los alimentos para cocinar y servir.
  2. Cocinar los alimentos, según indicado.
  3. Inspeccionar y limpiar las áreas de preparación de alimentos, como el equipo y las superficies de trabajo, o áreas de servicio para garantizar prácticas seguras e higiénicas de manejo de alimentos.
  4. Asegurar que la comida esté almacenada en las temperaturas correctas, al igual que las temperaturas de los equipos esté regulada, como por ejemplo, hornos, parrillas, etc.
  5. Distribuya y sirva comida a los residentes, empleados o patrocinadores de las instalaciones.
  6. Mantener inventarios de alimentos y equipos; así como sus correspondientes registros.
  7. Realizar tareas de ensamblaje, instalación y reparación de equipos que no requieran que se lleven a cabo por profesionales certificados.
  8. Manejar y reportar el inventario activo, así como realizar el proceso de decomisar inventario.
  9. Recibir las compras coordinadas con el gerente.
  10. Conocer y cumplir con los requisitos de seguridad de manejo de alimentos.
  11. Realiza cualquier otra tarea asignada por su supervisor inmediato.

Experiencia, Educación, Conocimientos & Habilidades:

  • Graduación de escuela secundaria o posesión de un diploma de equivalencia de escuela secundaria. Preferiblemente, poseer Certificación de Inocuidad vigente.
  • Dos (2) años o más de experiencia en preparación y manejo de alimento para una escuela, restaurante o facilidades parecidas.
  • Producción de alimentos: conocimiento de técnicas y equipos para plantar, cultivar y cosechar productos alimenticios (tanto vegetales como animales) para el consumo, incluidas las técnicas de almacenamiento/manejo.
  • Servicio personal y al cliente: conocimiento de los principios y procesos para proporcionar servicios personales y al cliente. Esto incluye la evaluación de las necesidades del cliente, el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad de los servicios y la evaluación de la satisfacción del cliente.
  • Producción y procesamiento: conocimiento de materias primas, procesos de producción, control de calidad, costos y otras técnicas para maximizar la fabricación y distribución efectiva de bienes.
  • Seguridad pública y protección: conocimiento de equipos, políticas, procedimientos y estrategias relevantes para promover operaciones de seguridad locales, estatales o nacionales efectivas para la protección de personas, datos, propiedades e instituciones.
  • Manipulación y movimiento de objetos: uso de manos y brazos para manipular, instalar, posicionar y mover materiales y manipular cosas.
  • Inspección de equipos, estructuras o materiales: inspección de equipos, estructuras o materiales para identificar la causa de errores u otros problemas o defectos.
  • Control de máquinas y procesos: uso de mecanismos de control o actividad física directa para operar máquinas o procesos (sin incluir computadoras o vehículos).
