POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Box Office Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Theatre

REPORTS TO: Theater Manager

STATUS: Non - exempt

HOURS: Full-time (40)

LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale | 2401 Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale FL 33309

Your passion:

You must have a passion to change the world for Jesus through coordinating a world class Theater venue for Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and Calvary Christian Academy. You will do this by organizing all requests and procurement of the facility needed for events, helping to coordinate all ministries and their needs for production, assisting with communication, strategy, team building duties and other relations.
As the Box Office Coordinator, you must have proven organizational and strategic skills and will be responsible for looking after the Theater Support Team to ensure that the Calvary Chapel Theater provides an excellent experience for all productions.

You will:

  • Support the Theatre Manager in coordinating all aspects of the Calvary Chapel Theatre including event strategy, communication with ministries and CCA, production meetings and booking of events in Ministry Platform
  • Manage the Theatre Costume Closet and Prop room.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of spaces
  • Coordinating our “Borrowed” system with staff and outside parties
  • Coordinate all aspects of the ticketing system as it relates to events, accounts and transactions, including but not limited to Audience View Professional (AVP), pricing, preparations, scheduling, ticket giveaways, maintain box office equipment, radios and supplies, serve as ticketing liaison to all departments
  • Coordinate handicap and assisted seating for the attendees on a personal level, case by case, reconcile any issues or problems by providing exemplary and proactive customer service to guests
  • Attend and assist with event production needs as assigned, develop ideas to improve effectivity and stewardship, promotion of events, appearance in the lobby, concessions, and in the house
  • Coordinate all ticketing fulfillment for complimentary tickets for pastors, sponsors, ticket giveaways and special constituencies
  • Maintain Box Office information phone system; update outgoing messages regularly, check and return all voicemail messages in a timely manner
