Job Description

As a Business Operations Manager at Vention…

Your role is to lead several aspects of Vention’s core infrastructure, and provide support to important strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, you will manage & develop our physical infrastructure, support the development of our digital toolbox and lead the resolution of a variety of business challenges.

What You’ll Do

Business analytics & operations

  • Partner with senior leadership and functional leaders across Vention to identify business challenges, drive improvement cross-functionally
  • Conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify root causes of complex business problems, across a range of topics: Order lead-time improvement, Invoicing & payment workflows, Logistic services productisation, etc.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution, from planning and analysis to project management to solution delivery and implementation
  • Find opportunities to improve/automate internal processes and lead implementation of these changes

Global Real Estate & Facilities Management

  • Lead real estate planning for office and distribution facilities in Canada, the US and Germany
  • Plan & manage facility upgrade projects (repairs, renovations, new build)
  • Own day-to-day facilities management & physical security in collaboration with office coordinators/managers
  • Lead vendor selection & procurement for all goods and services needed to run the facilities

Software Procurement & Management

  • Lead cost rationalization initiatives on a periodic basis to ensure the right-size & proper utilization of our current infrastructure
  • Monitor renewal deadlines and support departmental planning & evaluation
  • Partner with function leaders & technical experts to select, acquire and implement the right software tools
  • Lead vendor negotiations for new tools and renewals
  • Manage the attribution of licenses in collaboration with the IT team
