Job description

Position : ย Business System Analyst - Agentic AI & Conversational Systems

Client: Cisco

Location: San Jose, CA

6 Months Contract

Key Responsibilities

Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the AI engineering team for agentic AI initiatives.

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and user journeys for AI-powered assistants and chatbots.

Translate business needs into:

Functional requirements

User stories and acceptance criteria

Conversation flows and agent behaviors

ย 

Work closely with AI Engineers to support:

Migration of legacy RASA-based workflows into agent-driven AI architectures.

Definition of agent goals, tools, decision logic, and success criteria.

ย 

Define and document use cases for intelligent assistants such as booking, tracking, issue resolution, and notifications.

Collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to ensure consistent and intuitive user experiences.

Support UAT, validation, and business sign-off of AI-driven solutions.

Maintain clear documentation for workflows, assumptions, dependencies, and system behavior.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience as an IT / Business Analyst working with software or AI-driven systems.

Prior exposure to chatbots or conversational AI platforms such as RASA (intent, entity, dialogue concepts).

Ability to define end-to-end workflows, decision trees, and conversational flows.

Solid understanding of AI concepts including LLMs, agent-based workflows, and RAG (conceptual level).

Experience writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models.
