deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Jr. System Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research is seeking a junior level system engineer to support system engineering efforts on a large Department of Defense (DoD) contract.

Responsibilities Include:

  • System trade studies and associated analyses
  • Analyses of alternatives
  • System performance modeling and analyses
  • System Interface Design and associated Functional Modeling and Decomposition
  • Requirements Verification Test
  • Participate in engineering technical reviews

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in system engineering on DoD programs.
  • Radar signal processing, algorithm development, and AESA hardware/beam forming expertise
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink modeling and performance analysis.
  • Requirements definition, decomposition, maintenance, and verification using DOORS
  • Experience with system architecture modeling using MBSE tools such as Cameo and SysML
  • Experience with trade study techniques
  • End to end subsystem integration and test plan creation for radar system verification

Special Skills Desired:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with automated testing techniques and tools
  • Experience working on a geographically distributed team
