Job description

Overview

The Assistant System Administrator will be responsible for end user account setup and activation and processing end user terminations.  Provides Tier 1 technical support for server and application support.  Will be responsible for setup and ongoing maintenance for field files servers.  Configures and monitors field server backups.  Maintains documentation for areas of responsibility, including end user account creation, and file server setup and backups.  Provide Tier 3 support for end users.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the setup of user accounts for Active Directory and other networked systems.
  • Manages the process of terminating user accounts for Active Directory and other networked systems.
  • Provides Tier 1 support for field file servers.
  • Setup and configuration for field file servers.
  • Monitors security/patch management for field file servers.
  • Configuration and ongoing monitoring of backups for field file servers.
  • Provides Tier 3 support for end user issues, including application support
  • Maintains documentation for responsible processes, including new user account setup, field file server setup, configuration, and backups.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate hardware inventory for all field file servers.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum of five (5) years related experience or minimum of ten (10) years related experience.
  • 5 Years experience
  • Demonstrated Network experience and advanced knowledge of functional desktop applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and desktop publishing software required.Must possess ability to handle multiple projects involving stressful situations, be flexible and a team player as well as possessing excellent interpersonal and organizational skills in a very fast-paced environment.
