Job description

Job Summary:

The Sales Assistant will assist the sales team with day-to-day duties and assist customers as needed.

FLSA: non-exempt (Hourly)

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Welcome customers as they enter and establish immediate rapport by following approved customer service scripts and policies.
  • Ask brief qualifying questions to identify customer needs (buy, lease, service, browse).
  • Direct customers to the appropriate sales associate, department or waiting area.
  • Maintain an organized, clean and professional showroom and reception area.
  • Monitor showroom traffic and ensure no customer is left unattended.
  • Collect basic customer information and log it in the CRM or lead sheet.
  • Offer basic product information and escalate detailed product or pricing questions to sales associate.
  • Coordinates test-drive scheduling and notify sales associate when customers are ready.
  • Manage phone and front desk inquiries; handle simple appointment confirmations and cancellations.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, safety and brand presentation standards.
  • Assist with initial paperwork and ensure sales associate receives completed lead forms.
  • Perform light administrative tasks; updating digital displays, replenish brochures, track waiting times.
  • Must stay up to date on all company and manufacturer required trainings throughout employment with the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and retain basic product knowledge.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with management and coworkers.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
